The New Director Generals of Hsinchu Science Park Bureau and South-ern Taiwan Science Park Bureau Assume Office

Two handover ceremonies for the new Director General of Hsinchu Science Park Bureau and Sothern Taiwan Science Park Bureau are separately held on July 16, 2024 at the Park Bureaus. 
Premier Jung-Tai Cho attends Hsinchu Science Park handover ceremony. Under the officiation of Premier Cho and Minister of National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Cheng-Wen Wu, Director General Tzong-Chyuan Chen, who has ever served as Vice Minister of NSTC, receives the seal of the office from the Wayne Wang. 


The Premier Cho expresses special thanks to Director General Wayne Wang for improving the park's investment environment during his tenure, which gained strong recognition from manufacturers. He hopes that NSTC and Hsinchu Science Park, will lead high-tech industries to promote the industrialization of artificial intelligence based on the semiconductor industry, accelerate innovation and application across various industries, and further achieve the policy goal of "innovative economy, balanced Taiwan and inclusive development." 


Minister Wu states in his speech that the future expectations for the science parks are not only to focus on high-tech industries but also to use technology to assist public health and the balanced development of various industries. Additionally, science parks should become suitable places to live, achieving balanced development of both industry and the region.
In the same day, Hsiu-Jung Cheng assumes the new Director General of Sothern Taiwan Science Park. She has ever served as the Deputy Director General of the Park Bureau. The former DG of the Southern Taiwan Science Park, Chen-Kang Su, is promoted to Vice Minister of the National Science and Technology Council.


After the ceremony, the Premier Cho also visits Hsinchu Science Park companies Elan Microelectronics and Macronix international Co., Ltd.
