The Introduction of Main Policies and Programs of Green Energy
In order to strengthen the creativity of science and technology and raise the international competition of academia and industry in Taiwan, National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) positively plans and promotes four main programs to develop national science and technology. These programs include “Green Energy Innovation Research and Service Platform”, “Taiwan Photon Source of Green Energy and Biomedical”, “The Investigation and Measurement of the Influence of Ocean Ecology by Offshore Wind”, and “The Promotion of the Green Energy Flagships Project to integrate the Industry-Academia-Research R&D Alliance”, to study and analyze the environment and policy of science and technology development, to build international and large experiential facilities of green energy and biomedical, to connect the research capability and results of industries, academics and research institutes. We ally with international green energy science and technology pioneers to bridge the gap of domestic techniques, and promote the international demonstration of energy technology and industry practices.
Green Energy Innovation Research and Service Platform
The program, which is proposed by National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), and National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs), is corporated with the planning of innovation ecosystem of Taiwan Shalun. The technology development core value of this program includes Energy Harvesting, Energy Conservation, Energy Storage, and System Integration. And we devote to innovative energy pioneer research, cultivate relative talents, develop international system and techniques, in order to achieve a three-way win vision for Epoch-making energy, eco-friendly, and economic.
Taiwan Photon Source of Green Energy and Biomedical
The aim of program is to strengthen the international competitive advantage of green energy and biomedical industry, and we will establish five international advanced and large Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) research facilities of green energy and biomedical based on the advantage of high brightness of photon source, to enhance the academic research level in Taiwan.
The Investigation and Measurement of the Influence of Ocean Ecology by Offshore Wind
By Policy of Executive Yuan, R.O.C. (Taiwan) and 2025 off-shore 3GW establishment goal, we build the official sea area environmental investigation and data, in the meantime, provide ocean ecology, fishery resources, geological engineering data. Base on these data, they will become the critical reference of panning the offshore wind area development, setting wind farm and risk evaluation. By doing so, we hope can cross-field integrate sea area environment information, raise the technique capability of marine engineering, ensure ocean ecology sustainable development, and create offshore wind friendly environment.
The Promotion of the Green Energy Flagships Project to integrate the Industry-Academia-Research R&D Alliance
The objective of this project is through the government’s grants to integrate the R&D power of industry supply chains, academies and research institutes, in order to upgrade the green energy products, the components or system integration solutions which can create high product values and product differentiation of green energy industry.
