The delegations of 11 peoples formed from Taiwan International Research-Intensive Center of Excellence (I- RiCE) and National Research Program of Biopharmaceuticals (NRPB) visited MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) between May 22-24. This group was led by Dean Yang, Pan-Chry who is the Primary Investigator of both mentioned programs. A welcome dinner was hosted by Director General Liao and Director Chou of Science and Technology Division of TECO in Houston. A one-day bilateral workshop was organized by Prof. Mien-Chin Hung and Prof. Ta-Jen Liu and held in MDACC on May 24. The collaborative relationship has been developed between Taiwan I-RiCE program and MDACC and this is one of the activities that are co-organized by both parties. Researchers of both sides presented their latest research work and findings during the sessions. At the meantime, the common interests were brought up and the future collaborative topics were identified. In addition to the workshop, delegations paid a visit to MDACC Proton Therapy Center. Through this visit, delegations received the first hand information about the technical operation, patient treatment, and administrative management of this center. A similar center will be established in the I-RiCE in the near future. A welcome dinner was hosted by Director General Liao and Director Chou of Science and Technology Division of TECO in Houston.
