Location and Role
The Lao Academy of Social and Economic Sciences (LASES) is a government academic organization with the status of a ministry (not a member of the government); its role is to act as a staff for the Party Central Committee and the government in researching and providing information on economic and social sciences to serve the Party's policy guidelines, visions, strategic plans, and national socio-economic development plans in each period.
