HISTORY
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) – member of Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC) – was established in 1957. Formerly known as the National Technical Center, HCMUT has been the largest center for scientific training and research as well as technology transfer in the Southern region of Vietnam. It is also one important technological university in the nation.
TRAINING
Currently, HCMUT has 11 faculties and training centers to offer 41 undergraduate majors to over 23,000 students, 36 master's degree majors to more than 2,100 students, and 32 doctoral degree majors to nearly 300 students.
With such a rich history and important position in the Vietnamese higher education system, HCMUT has successfully trained a large number of skillful engineers, scientists, and high-level managers of various fields to work not only in the country but in other nations as well.
