Aiming for being a world-class university, one of De La Salle University’s foremost thrusts is research. This is the reason why different colleges are encouraged to identify their own research objectives.
Researches can be classified into two: basic or applied. Department of Science and Technology guidelines define basic research as experimental or theoretical work undertaken to acquire new knowledge without a particular or specific application in use. In contrast, applied research involves an original investigation done to acquire new knowledge towards a specific practical aim or objective.
