Facts and Figures

De La Salle University (DLSU) is a private non-profit higher educational institution established in 1911 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools (FSC). It is one of 16 institutions within the De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) network. The main 5.4-hectare campus is located on Taft Avenue in Manila, but the University operates satellites in Makati, Bonifacio Global City, and Laguna.

DLSU has seven colleges and three schools: the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVRCOB), College of Computer Studies (CCS), Brother Andrew Gonzalez FSC College of Education (BAGCED), John Gokongwei College of Engineering (JGCOE), School of Law (SOL), College of Liberal Arts (CLA), College of Science (COS), the School of Economics (SOE), the newly-established School of Lifelong Learning (SoLL, 2021), and School of Innovation and Sustainability (Laguna Campus, 2023).

DLSU is governed by an independent Board of Trustees. Its top management group consists of the Br. President, a Vice President for Academics who also serves as Provost (Chief Academic Officer), a Vice President for Finance who also serves as Senior Vice President, Vice-Presidents for Research and Innovation, Administration, Lasallian Mission, External Relations and Internationalization, Information Technology, and the Laguna Campus. Since 2022, all academic Deans are considered part of top management.

DLSU operates 15 research centers and institutes: Advanced Research Institute for Informatics, Computing and Networking (AdRIC); Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies; Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center (BNSCWC); Br. Alfred Shields FSC Ocean Research (SHORE) Center; Center for Business Research and Development (CBRD); Center for Engineering and Sustainable Development Research (CESDR); College of Science Center for Natural Sciences and Environmental Research (CENSER); Dr. Andrew L. Tan Data Science Institute (VCRI-DSI); Enrique Razon Jr. Logistics Institute (ERLI); Food and Water Institute (FWI); Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health Technologies (IBEHT); Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (JMRIG); Lasallian Institute for Development and Educational Research (LIDER); Social Development Research Center (SDRC); Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub (SEARCH);
