Why TIE Award:
1. Opportunities to cooperate with Taiwan's semiconductor companies
The judges are from the semiconductor and green-tech industries and the winning teams may become potential partners. Members of the review committee include representatives from Taiwan's semiconductor industry, professionals in the related field, and government experts.
2. Awards and prizes
i. USD 30,000 for the first prize winner
ii. USD 20,000 for the second prize winner
iii. USD 10,000 for the third prize winner
iv. USD 7,000 for 3 special awards

What is TIE Award:
The “Tech Innovation Excellence Award (TIE Award)” is a contest co-organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Science and Technology (NSTC) and other Taiwanese governments under the “Taiwan Innotech Expo” in Oct 2023. This year, the TIE Award will expand application eligibility under two themes, “Smart Innovation for Semiconductor” and “Technologies for Net-Zero Emissions”.
