The main task of ETPC is to bring together and integrate academic achievements, and promote them to the industry. "eTop (Engineering and Technology Open Platform)" which is managed by ETPC, we continuously promote and transfer the research efforts of general projects to the industry for establishing and upgrading R & D capabilities.
For the following next 3 years, the ETPC will focus on the major tasks summarized as follows:
1. Online funding application
In order to help the 19 discipline units of the Dept. of Eng. & Tech to promote their research efforts, as well as to continue our better services, ETPC aims to computerize all the financial support processes, from funding application, review and funding approval.
2. Integrated service website
To assist the Dept. of Eng. & Tech. of MOST, ETPC is providing various computerized services, and hope to become as a cloud center of all the academic disciplines. These services include: seminar website, integrated service platform (KPI system service, online call for paper system, and talent matching system), as well as various academic websites. ETPC also aims to provide the integrated service to help simplify related procedures and their efficiency.
3. Industry-Academy Research Collaboration.
ETPC will prepare, manage and host several industry-academy matching forums, so as to to build up a close link between industrial organizations such as public associations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the R&D units in universities. ETPC eagers to find out opportunities and the possibility of enhancing the value-added of R&D efforts. Thus, the academic research efforts will promote the industrial R&D technology's international competitiveness.
4. Multimedia Service and Newsletter Publication
To cooperate with the Dept. of Eng. & Tech., MOST, ETPC will make the video clips, publish compilation of achievements journals, and disseminate them to major media. ETPC will try to let the public and industry to see Taiwan technology progression.
5. The maintenance and value-added applications of eTop
ETPC will keep upgrading eTop, and assist the Dept. of Eng. & Tech to plan and build up the important large-scale project management platform.
