美國布朗大學分子細胞生物及生化學系暨醫學院神經科助理教授Dr. Y. Alvin Huang實驗室誠徵博士後研究

徵求職務名稱:Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Neuroscience for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and Brain Aging

職務說明:
The Huang lab in Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown University is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellow (2) who share the interest in molecular biology of AD pathogenesis/brain aging and look for trainings for their careers in science. This position will focus on a new research program based on iPS modeling for genetics linked to AD, neurodegeneration and aging. We are building a young team that leverages the modern technology of CRISPR-edited, stem cell-derived human brain cells, neuronal and non-neuronal, complemented with aging mouse models in vivo. The start date is anticipated to be on or after September 1, 2019 by mutual agreement.

申請人資格:
Exceptional candidates will have a recent PhD (and/or MD) in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, neuroscience or a related field, with a solid publication record demonstrating independence. Also desirable are skills and experience in the following: cell culture (for stem cells and/or primary tissues), CRISPR-based genome editing/modifying, advanced microscopy, mouse procedures and basic bioinformatics. Any inquiries and application materials - a brief introduction/cover letter, current CV, and names and contact information for three references – should be sent to Dr. Y. Alvin Huang via email: alvinhuang@brown.edu. Brown University is an EEO/AA employer and encourages applications from minorities and women. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled or the search is closed.

實驗室簡介:
The new Huang lab is housed in the collaborative and multi-disciplinary Department of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry and Department of Neurology, being an active part of the acclaimed Brown Neuroscience community and supported by a NIH/NIA grant and a professorship through Brown Institute for Translational Sciences. The PI has studied the broad aspects of cognitive biology, spanning scales from molecules to diseases, and been driven by original ideas inspired by his colleagues, junior scientists in particular. Together with a welcoming and stimulating environment, the team members’ academic growth and career preparations are the top-priority matters of the Huang lab.
