We are looking for postdoctoral researchers for conducting numerical simulation using Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method. To enrich the capacity of our project, it is proposed to have a postdoctoral researcher joining us for investigation of chemical reactions in terms of DSMC and/or application to a scramjet engine. Since the research content involves substantial knowledge regarding gas kinetic physics, chemical reactions, as well as complexities and challenges including such intensive interplays of high-speed aerothermodynamics, flame propagation dynamics, heat and mass transfer/mixing, multi-step chemical kinetics, and nonequilibrium phenomena, the postdoc is required to have rich knowledge about the key subjects or at least some essential part. He/she shall have skills of computational modeling and numerical simulation, better with DSMC and kinetic theory. The specific methodology adopted would be according to his/her expertise but shall fit the scope of this project.
The beginning of the working period is up to the discussion between the candidate and Prof. Kuo-Long Pan (panpeter@ntu.edu.tw; 02-33665569), which may last for one year.
The research interest of Prof. Pan can be found on the website http://homepage.ntu.edu.tw/~panpeter.
