The Department of Biomedical Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position. Candidates with research expertise in Bioelectronics, Medical Informatics, or Smart Healthcare are strongly encouraged to apply. The department is seeking to reinforce its strengths in intelligent medical systems, biomedical sensing and imaging, and digital health technologies. The ideal applicants will be highly motivated to set up successful research, conduct quality teaching, and actively attract external research funding.
The department currently has 15 tenured and tenure-track faculty and affiliated faculty from various academic and medical institutes outside the University. The department is well represented at major research centers on campus and in collaboration with several hospitals, including the Taipei Veteran General Hospital and several medical centers in Taipei. The annual research funding in the department well exceeds US$ 1.5 million. We have active educational programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. levels. Qualifications
• Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, Bioelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• We are seeking candidates with expertise in advanced and forward-thinking research areas, including (but not limited to): Smart Healthcare, Medical Electronics, Medical Informatics, Biomedical Sensing, Medical Imaging, Digital Health Technologies, and closely related fields.
• Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and show promise for excellent teaching, mentoring, and entrepreneurship in all areas.
• Applications at levels will be considered but assistant or associate professor level is highly favored.

• Candidates must submit their applications by January 04, 2026. The department will start the review process immediately after the due date.
