We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team in investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying bacterial peptidoglycan biosynthesis and morphological regulation. This project focuses on uncovering the biological and biochemical pathways that control bacterial shape and cell wall synthesis, with potential implications for antibiotic development.
You will be involved in experiments and analysis in areas such as:
1. Protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization
2. Genetic engineering and molecular biology techniques
3. Microscopy and image-based analysis of bacterial morphology
Responsibilities
• Conduct experiments
• Assist in optimizing protocols and troubleshooting experimental challenges
• Maintain laboratory records and contribute to data interpretation and figure preparation
• Collaborate with lab members in experimental design and innovation
• Participate in literature review, manuscript drafting, and conference preparation
• Support lab maintenance and routine operations
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields
2. Passion for research and a strong commitment of at least two year
3. Self-motivated, curious, detail-oriented, and responsible
4. Able to accept assignments and perform experimental work and tasks
5. Ability to learn independently and work collaboratively in a team
6. Strong time management and problem-solving skills
7. Good English proficiency (reading and writing scientific literature)

Compensation, Benefits & Working Conditions
• Monthly Salary:
Bachelor’s-level Research Assistant: NT$38,388 and above
Master’s-level Research Assistant: NT$44,968 and above
