The Graduate Institute of Astronomy at National Central University (NCU), Taiwan, invites applications for a faculty position in astronomy. We seek outstanding candidates capable of establishing independent and competitive research programs, while also contributing to teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Applicants from all areas of astronomy and astrophysics are welcome. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research can strengthen and complement the existing programs of the institute. Our institute is actively involved in the Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) through the 2-meter telescope project at San Pedro Mártir (SPM), a collaboration led primarily by NCU and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). We especially welcome applicants whose future research can develop strong scientific connections with this facility. The successful candidate will be expected to mentor students in their research and contribute actively to academic service within the institute and the university.
