Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, and possess a valid university faculty certificate at the rank of Lecturer or above.
Area of Specialization: Mass Communication.
Preference will be given to applicants whose expertise is in “News Writing” and “Editing and Reporting”.
Required Application Materials:
(1) Application Form for New Faculty Appointment. (Attachment 1)
(2) List of Publications (Works, Achievements, or Instructional Materials) for Faculty Appointment at National Chung Hsing University. (The publications listed must comply with the University’s Regulations Governing Faculty Promotion Review Standards and the Submission of Scholarly Works for Faculty Appointment and Promotion.) (Attachment 2)
(3) A photocopy of the applicant’s faculty certificate.
(4) A photocopy of the highest academic degree certificate.
Applicants holding foreign academic degrees must provide Chinese or English translations of the diploma and academic transcript (the transcript is not required for applicants whose faculty qualification was not obtained through degree review), together with authentication by an overseas Republic of China (Taiwan) representative office.
Applicants who fail to submit the authentication documents at the time of application may still undergo the University’s preliminary review. However, authenticated documents must be submitted within three months before the case can be forwarded to the Ministry of Education for review.
Applicants already holding a valid faculty certificate at the rank for which they are applying are exempt from submitting authentication documents issued by an overseas representative office.
(5) Photocopies of employment certificates. (Applicants with overseas employment experience must provide Chinese or English translations.)
(6) One copy each of the representative publication and supporting publications.
(7) Course syllabus and curriculum vitae. (Attachment 3)
