TTA Taiwan’s National Pavilion Connects European Markets in 2019 VIVA TECH

Dr. Yu-Chin Hsu, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MoST), announced that Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) will lead 10 tech startup companies to attend 2019 VIVA TECH held in Paris, from May 15th – 20th, 2019. It is also the first debut of (TTA) Taiwan’s national pavilion in a key Startup rendezvous in Europe; the national pavilion will have its opening on May 16th, and showcase Taiwan's tech capability to the world.


VIVA TECH is the leading startup rendezvous among Europe; it attracts more than 1,900 international venture capitals, 9,000 startups, and 1 million visitors from over 125 countries.


TTA Startup Representatives Draw International Attentions


The TTA Taiwan representatives focus on diverse areas, and these 10 startup teams are Lucid (software), Carkit AI (AI), 3drens (cybersecurity), Paix Inc (IOT), Accurate Meditech (health), Ludo (EdTech), Biilabs (IoT), IPlus (AI), FaceHeart (cybersecurity), and iTech (AI).


In order to make the best of it, the MoST organizes an intensive trip for the 10 representative. Before 2019 VIVA TECH, the MoST wil lead the delegation of 10 startups to visit HQ of LVMH (France), Facebook, and Microsoft. During 2019 VIVA TECH, the 10 startup representative will also attend official events (such as VC forum held by EE Times) and further engage with international resources. Afterward, invited by Luxemburg’s Minister of Economic, the 10 representative teams will participate in 2019 ICT spring, visit local startup ecosystem, and further connect with them.


MOST Aims to Connect Taiwan’s Startups Ecosystem with International Ones


TTA is the flagship tech startup ecosystem building program of MoST. It is a tech innovation and entrepreneurship program which aims to connect the whole tech startup ecosystem under one dome.  Its main mission is to foster tech entrepreneurship, innovation, and build a vibrant international tech startup ecosystem in Taiwan.


Through cross boarders cooperation, the Ministry’s goal is to connect Taiwan’s ecosystem with the European ones and to build up high-tech emerging industries as well as creating quality job opportunities.
