Description of Position
The Department of Systems Engineering and Naval Architecture (SENA) of National Taiwan Ocean University invites applications for one tenure track appointment at assistant, associate or full professor level. The appointments will commence on August 1, 2026, or shortly thereafter.
Candidates must demonstrate the commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate engineering programs, in initiating research of innovative topics at the highest international level and in managing research team.

Qualifications Requirements
 Applicants must hold a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Engineering and are expected to have extensive experience in one of the fields mentioned in the section “areas of expertise”.
 Applicants are capable of teaching in English.
 Applicants must be able to mentor graduate students, complete interdisciplinary research, independently develop and accomplish academic and industrial research and publish scientific articles

Areas of Expertise
 General: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and/or Experimental Fluid Dynamics (EFD)
 Specific: naval (marine) hydrodynamics, energy saving & carbon-emission reduction in naval (marine) applications, Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI), and other related fields.
 Courses: fluid mechanics at basic and advanced levels, naval (marine) hydrodynamics, CFD/EFD related courses, convective heat transfer, turbulence theory & modeling, turbomachinery theory, FSI theory, numerical analysis, partial differential equation, computer geometric model, etc.

2. Curriculum vitae which states academic and work experience, expertise, list of publications
3. A list of possible courses to be offered and sample syllabus
4. A list of publications within 5 years and the copies of them. (see attachment #2)
5. A copy of the official doctorate degree certificate(s), if available;
A copy of the transcript of graduate studies (for applicants expecting to graduate before August 1, 2026 or applying for an assistant professor position);
(Note: For applicants with foreign degrees, please provide list of foreign degrees and certificate of entry and exit dates of the degree period. Also, please certify your diploma and transcripts via overseas office of ministry of foreign affairs, R.O.C.)

7. Copy of Ph.D. thesis
8. Three recommendation letters
9. Other documents, such as license, award and patent.
