Postdoctoral or Research Staff Position Available – Deep Learning for Preclinical PET Imaging
A postdoctoral or research staff position is available in the Biomedical Imaging Physics and Instrumentation Laboratory (BIPI Lab) under the supervision of Prof. Jyh-Cheng Chen. The position focuses on the application of deep learning techniques for scatter correction and motion correction in preclinical PET imaging, within the broader field of medical imaging and artificial intelligence.
Research Focus
The successful candidate will be involved in:
I. Developing deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, GANs, diffusion models) for PET scatter and motion correction
II. Performing quantitative analysis and statistical evaluation
III. Conducting Monte Carlo simulations (e.g., GATE) for data generation
IV. Working with preclinical PET/MRI and PET/CT imaging datasets
V. Participating in collaborative research integrating imaging physics and AI
Required Qualifications
I. PhD or MS in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
II. Strong background in deep learning (PyTorch preferred)
III. Experience with PET/CT, PET/MRI, or SPECT imaging and image processing
IV. A solid publication record in medical imaging or related areas
Preferred Skills
I. Experience with GANs, diffusion models, transformers, or image-to-image translation
II. Knowledge of attenuation correction, reconstruction, denoising, scatter correction, and motion correction
III. Familiarity with DICOM data and quantitative image analysis
IV. Experience with Monte Carlo simulations
Position Details
I. Position: Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Staff
II. Duration: 1–2 years (extendable based on performance and funding availability)
III. Location: Taipei, Taiwan
IV. Start Date: On or before April 1, 2026
V. Salary:
PhD: NTD 60,000/month (negotiable)
MS: NTD 45,000/month (negotiable)
