The Department of Greenergy at the National University of Tainan (NUTN) invites applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track faculty positions. This will be an open call for outstanding candidates in science, engineering or energy-related fields. As Taiwan’s first department devoted to green-energy research, the Department of Greenergy at NUTN has continued development, building on its reputation for teaching, industry-academic collaboration and research. Therefore, we seek candidates with related energy technology experience to join our research and teaching team.
1. One vacancy available in Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Project Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, and One vacancy available in Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.
2. Expected employment start date: 2026/2/1(depending on the required administrative paperworks).

4. Qualification
1) The successful candidate should hold a PhD in science, engineering or energy-related fields.
2) Academic expertise in energy-related engineering fields, preferably electric vehicles, electromechanical, heat flow, energy storage and AI.
3) Preference will be given to candidates whose research, teaching or industry experiences complement current faculty expertise
4) At least three publication of SCI-indexed journal publications between 2020~2025
5) Capable of teaching classes fluently in English
Application materials
1. Submit the application form for an academic position at National Tainan University" (Attachment 1), a List of SCI-indexed publications in related fields from 2020 to 2025" (Attachment 2) and obtained project funding in recent years, Notification and Letter of Consent to Personal Information (Attachment 3)
2. Photocopies of Undergraduate, Master and doctoral diploma, a photocopy of the front and back of passport and photocopies of academic teaching rank accreditation certificates (not required if the candidate has not previously obtained the certificate from the Ministry of education).
3. If you hold a foreign doctoral degree, please send your degree certificate (or temporary proof of graduation certificate) and academic transcripts (during the undergraduate and postgraduate years) to the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) for degree verification.
4. If you do not have an assistant professor academic teaching rank accreditation certificate from the Ministry of education at the time of application, please provide an abstract of your doctoral thesis in Chinese or English.
5. Please provide past transcripts of university, master's and doctoral programs. Those with more than three years of full-time teaching experience in public or private universities in Taiwan or associate professors/full professors are not required to attach transcripts of past years but should attach the subjects taught and course syllabus
6. Applicants without a) a foreign academic degree, b) foreign visiting scholar experience or c) over one year of research / postdoctoral research experience from a foreign country are required to attach an English language-related proficiency certificate (such as TOEFL, TOEIC...), or provide course titles, teaching plans and relevant teaching experiences in English (at least one course) that can be used to support the English proficiency of the applicants.

2. The academic qualifications listed in the selection refer to the departments (disciplines) and graduates from public or registered private or domestic and foreign universities (colleges) recognised by the Ministry of Education (ROC Taiwan).
3. Newly hired full-time faculty members must complete two years of administrative work in the NUTN. In addition, every semester, they must offer one English-taught or English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) course.
4. Applicants must conduct a full teaching demonstration in English during the interview.
5. Newly hired academics must assist in teaching the University’s continuing education courses.
6. We may extend the announcement period for the position if the number of applicants is below 10.
