EMI Faculty Position Openings (2025 Spring)

I.Title and number of openings: Several openings for EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) faculty members, as full-time or adjunct faculty.

II.Professional expertise: Special Educational (Gifted education or mental disability is preferred).

III.Applicants with experiences in teaching courses in English at the university level will have a priority. All courses are required to teach in English. Applicants must have foreign nationality.

IV.Educational and Research Background:
1.Applicants for the position of EMI Full-time Faculty must meet one of the following qualifications:
(1)Being the first or corresponding author of at least two published articles within the past three years in journals listed in SCI, SSCI, TSSCI, EI, A&HCI, THCI (originally THCI Core before 2016) or academic journals of SCOPUS.
(2)Leading at least two research projects sponsored by the National Science and Technology Council during the past three years.
(3)Publication of at least one book or monograph within the past three years; review comments and proof of publication should be provided.
2.Applicants for the position of EMI Adjunct Faculty must meet one of the following qualifications:
(1)Being the first or corresponding author of at least two published articles within the past three years in journals listed in SCI, SSCI, A&HCI, EI, TSSCI, THCI (originally THCI Core before 2016) or academic journals of SCOPUS.
(2)Being the first or corresponding author of one original academic article in journals of the top 5% Impact Factor in the last three years.
(3)Publication of at least one book or monograph within the past three years; review comments and proof of publication should be provided.

V.Applicants for EMI full-time faculty: According to the “NTNU Newly Appointed Distinguished Talent Incentive Regulations,” newly appointed full-time faculty members will be evaluated by their academic performance to receive certain amount of incentive for at most three years.

VI.Applicants for EMI adjunct faculty: According to Article 10 of the “Guidelines for the Appointment of Adjunct Faculty and Researchers at National Taiwan Normal University”, adjunct faculty and researchers with outstanding performance may be given priority for official employment.
