Faculty Recruitment Announcement Department of Information and Learning Technology National University of Tainan (Extended announcement)

I. Position Available:
One full-time faculty position as an assistant professor or higher.

II. Starting Date:
February 1, 2026

III. Qualifications:
1. Academic Degree:
Ph.D. in Information and Learning Technology or related field from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. (Candidates who have successfully defended their dissertation but have not yet received their diploma must submit proof of dissertation approval and a recommendation letter from their advisor.)
2.Specializations:
Expertise in Information and Learning Technology, Computer Science, or Information Management.
3. Publications:
At least two academic journal articles (published or accepted) with full-text peer-review systems, published since 2020 in reputable domestic or international journals.
(Preference is given to publications in SSCI/SCIE/SCI-indexed journals. Proof of acceptance is required for articles not yet published.)

4.Teaching Capability:
(1) Ability to teach professional courses related to the department.
(2) Preference is given to candidates capable of offering courses in English.
(3) Must be willing and able to teach evening and weekend courses.

IV. Application Deadline:
August 31, 2025 (based on postmark date).


V. Required Documents:
1. Copies of all academic degree certificates (bachelor's and above).
2. Copy of national ID (both sides) with the statement "For the sole purpose of applying for the full-time faculty position at the Department of Information and Learning Technology" written on it.
3. Official transcripts from master's and doctoral studies.
4. Completed Basic Information Form for Faculty Application – NUTN and Academic Summary Form (Appendix I & II).

5. Documentation of relevant professional experience
6. Complete doctoral dissertation.
7. Two letters of recommendation.
8. Copies of significant academic works published within the past five years.
9. Sample syllabi for courses the applicant can teach.
10. Any additional materials supporting the application.

3. Faculty Responsibilities:
(1) Newly hired faculty must undertake administrative duties for two years.
(2) Offer one course per semester taught entirely in English or as an EMI (English-Medium Instruction) course.
(3) Comply with temporary assignments as designated by the department.
