II.Field/areas of Specialization:
Open Rank hire in the fields of Ethnology, Anthropology, or related disciplines in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Priority will be given to applicants whose research focuses on one or more of the following areas:
(1) Digital Transformation and Archival Revitalization: The department seeks specialists in cultural heritage to enhance our curriculum in museum studies, teaching students through planning and curating exhibitions in the NCCU Museum of Ethnology. The successful candidate will bring knowledge of digital, multimedia, and AI technologies to enhance the department's existing teaching and research foundation, our collections research, and our community outreach.
(2) Geopolitics and International Connections: Seeking specialists in regional studies and ethnic politics (e.g., cross-border ethnicities, Global China, etc.). The successful candidate should demonstrate regional academic collaboration networks that deepen geopolitical dialogue beyond the university. We are interested in colleagues who can develop internationalized courses that attract both global and local talent.
(3) Social Practice and Sustainable Applications: Seeking specialists in engaged, applied, or public anthropology with a focus on experiential learning and social innovation. The successful candidate will attend to the discourses of USR (University Social Responsibility) and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) to integrate social and environmental consciousness into research and course design.

IV.Qualifications:
The applicant must hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology, Ethnology, Geography, or related fields.

(II)Application Materials Required:
1. A curriculum vitae (including educational background, professional experience, fields of specialization, and research directions).
2. Photocopies of academic and professional certificates:
(1) Please provide a copy of the teacher certification issued by the Ministry of Education (ROC), if available.
(2) Foreign academic credentials must be verified in advance by Taiwan’s overseas embassies/missions.
3. An official transcript of the highest degree obtained (not required for applicants applying for the rank of Associate Professor or above).
4. A comprehensive bibliography of research publications.
5. Full transcripts (as possible) of a representative publication published within the past 5 years and reference publications from the past 7 years (Assistant Professor applicants can use their doctoral dissertation as the representative piece). Hard copies (if submitted) will be returned after the review process
6. Syllabi for at least three courses the applicant plans to teach. (This must include at least two required or elective-group courses offered by our department, and one course highlighting the applicant's personal specialization)
7. At least two letters of recommendation
