1. Position Title: Adjunct Instructor(The appointment rank will be determined in accordance with the candidate’s qualifications and the “Act Governing the Appointment of Educators”.)
2. Job Description
A. Assist and coordinate with the Bilingual Education Center in offering undergraduate English for General Academic Purposes (EGAP) and English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) courses.
B. All courses taught will be conducted in English.
C. Relevant rights and obligations are subject to the “NTU Guidelines for the Appointment of Part-Time Faculty”.
3. Employment Period
August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027. Reappointment is subject to performance and funding.
4. Qualifications
A. Master’s degree or higher from a domestic or international institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. (Applicants with foreign degrees should provide proof of diploma verification.)
B. Expertise in English-related fields (including English teaching, applied linguistics, linguistics, literature, and education) is required. Applicants with relevant teaching or research experience are preferred.
C. Applicants with cross-disciplinary teaching experience (e.g., management, bioresource and agriculture, social sciences, and STEM) or experience teaching in an EMI setting are preferred.
D. Ability to teach entirely in English.

iv. Official transcript of the highest degree obtained.
v. List of previously taught EAP, ESP, or English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) courses with course syllabi attached (not required if not available).
vi. Proposed Course Syllabus and related course materials.
vii. Chinese Autobiography (700 to 1,000 words; non-native Chinese speakers are exempt from providing a Chinese autobiography).
viii. English Autobiography (2,000 to 3,000 words).
B. A photocopy of your ID or passport, degree certificates, and academic and work experience certificates.
C. A photocopy of the Teacher Qualification Certificate (not required if not available)
D. Proof of experience in teaching in English (not required if not available).
E. Any other supporting materials.
