Physics professor Hernandez at NTNU is seeking a full-time assistant to support the administration and day-to-day operation of his research program and faculty activities. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks while working closely with faculty members, students, university staff, and external organizations. Duties include, but are not limited to,
1. Process reimbursements related to research grants
2. Coordinate purchases, payments, and financial records for the research group. This may include interacting with vendors or online purchasing platforms
3. Coordinate with NTNU administrative offices and funding agencies regarding grant administration.
4. Maintain research and administrative records and assist with document preparation, filing, and submission of university paperwork.
5. Schedule meetings and provide general administrative support related to the research group and other faculty responsibilities.
6. Assist with the preparation and submission of university reports, forms, and other required administrative documentation.
7. Perform other administrative duties as needed in support of the research program and faculty activities.
Preferred qualifications
1. Proficiency in English (and Chinese) writing and speaking
2. Experience with university administration or grant management
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Excellent time management and organizational skills
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Salary
Competitive and commensurate with experience
Contract duration
Initial appointment of one year, with a probationary period in accordance with NTNU regulations. Renewal is subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding.
