Faculty Position Opening in Food Microbiology, Department of Food Science and Biotechnology, National Chung Hsing University (Announcement Extended to March 31, 2026)


Position Title: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
Effective Date of Appointment: February 1, 2027
Application Deadline: March 31, 2026


A faculty position is available for applicants with research interests in Food Microbiology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in food science research and at least one year of postdoctoral training or assistant professorship. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to international collegiate activities.


Applicants should submit the following documents:

1.A notarized copy of Ph.D. diploma.

2.Undergraduate and Graduate Transcripts.

3.A copy of the teaching certificate (if applicable), identity card (or passport), and certificates for other professional experience.

4.A list of publications using the attached Form #1. If the representative publication (within the last 5 years) includes other authors, please also provide Form #2.

5.A copy of the representative publication, which must be published after August 1, 2020. (For candidates applying for an associate or full professor position, the representative publication must be from their current position)

6.A copy of each reference publication listed, published after August 1, 2018.

7.A research proposal, along with teaching and extended service plans. The teaching plan should include a course outline as per the attached Form #3.

8.Curriculum vitae, using the attached Form #4.

9.Review Recusal Form, using the attached Form #5.

10.Two recommendation letters, one of which should be from your current employer. (If this letter is not available, please provide an explanation.)

11.Any other relevant information.
