1.Position Available: Two full-time faculty position at Assistant Professor level or above.
2.Expected Start Date: August 1, 2026
3.Qualifications:
A. Educational Requirements:
a.Teaching and Learning Technology: Must hold a doctoral degree in Teaching and Learning Technology, or related fields from institutions recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Candidates who have passed their doctoral dissertation defense but have not yet received their diploma must provide proof of defense completion and a letter from their advisor.
b.Preschool Special Education: Must hold a doctoral degree in Teacher Education, Special Education or Early Childhood Education, or related fields from institutions recognized by the Ministry of Education.

B. Academic Expertise:
a. Teaching and Learning Technology: Innovative Educational Technology Applications in Teacher Education
b. Preschool Special Education: Related to Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or Preschool Special Education.
C. Experience:
a. Teaching and Learning Technology:
Must have Elementary school teaching experience
Priority will be given to those with research experience in teaching methods or clinical teaching in teacher education
b. Preschool Special Education:
Must have Teaching experience in Special Education or Early Childhood Education
Priority will be given to those with research experience in teaching methods or clinical teaching in teacher education
D. Teaching Responsibilities:
a. Teaching and Learning Technology:
Innovative Educational Technology courses, including:
Teaching Methods and Materials of Information Technology
Introduction to Digital Learning
Adaptive Teaching and Technology
Educational Media and Applications
b.Preschool Special Education:
Educational foundations, teaching methods, and practical applications in Special Education or Early Childhood Education.
E. Research Requirements: Must have published at least 2 peer-reviewed academic journal articles since 2020, with at least one article in TSSCI, SCI(E), or SSCI-indexed journals (acceptance letters required for forthcoming publications).
4.Application Period:
A. From November 10, 2025 to January 9, 2026 (postmark deadline; in-person submissions not accepted).

5.Required Documents:
A. Completed "NUTN Faculty Application Basic Information Form" (both hard copy and digital copy required). Email digital copies to: jing1130@mail.nutn.edu.tw
B. National University of Tainan requires applicants to provide a personal information consent form when applying for full-time or part-time faculty positions.
C. A written statement confirming that the proposed (current) personnel have a registered residence in China, hold a China passport, identity card, settlement permit, or residence permit.
D. One copy of:
Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral diplomas
Official transcript of highest degree
University teaching qualification certificate (if applicable)
Teaching certificate (Elementary school、Early Childhood Education or Special Education)
National ID card (both sides)
Military service documentation (if applicable)
E. One copies of doctoral dissertation. For foreign degrees, please have diplomas and transcripts authenticated by overseas Taiwan offices.
F. Autobiography (including detailed academic/professional history and areas of expertise)
G. Syllabus of courses that applicants have taught and plan to teach
a. Teaching and Learning Technology: Syllabus of 2 courses:
Teaching Methods and Materials of Information Technology
Introduction to Digital Learning
Adaptive Teaching and Technology
Educational Media and Applications
b. Preschool Special Education: Syllabus of 2 courses, Educational foundations, teaching methods, and practical applications in Special Education or Early Childhood Education.
H. Publications and Professional Achievements:
a. Complete publication list and full texts of at least 2 journal articles published since January 1, 2020 (indicate SSCI/TSSCI/SCI(E) journals), plus three copies of one representative publication
b. List of research projects participated in or directed
c. Proposal for Digital technology integration in teacher education research and development. (only for Teaching and Learning Technology)
I. Other supporting materials such as:
Research/industry project outcomes as principal investigator
Professional certificates
Academic honors received in the past 5 years
Teaching evaluations
Letters of recommendation
6.Additional Notes:
A. If fewer than 10 applications are received, the application period may be extended.
B. Candidates selected for interviews must deliver teaching and oral presentation in English.
C. New full-time faculty members must:
Submit Teaching Methods and Materials of project proposals annually
D. After qualification review, selected candidates will be invited for interviews. To have materials returned, please include self-addressed envelope with appropriate postage.
E. Other matters shall be handled in accordance with the university’s faculty employment contract [including provisions that newly hired faculty must undertake administrative duties for two years and are required to teach one EMI (English-Medium Instruction) course per semester].
