2026 Job Announcement (Extended Application Period)
The Graduate Institute of Labor Research (GILR) at National Chengchi University seeks applications for a Tenure-Track position of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor with primary expertise in the fields of Labor Relations, Social Security, and the Digitalized Labor Market. Priority will be given to scholars with interdisciplinary research expertise in labor market policy evaluation, pension analysis, wage gap analysis, employment trend forecasting, social insurance, or related fields.
The candidate must hold a PhD and demonstrate the ability to publish internationally. The successful candidate for this tenure-track position is expected to teach a variety of graduate-level courses and undergraduate general education courses in Chinese and English in the following fields: Labor Relations, Social Security, and the Digitalized Labor Market, including labor market policy evaluation, pension analysis, wage gap analysis, employment trend forecasting, social insurance, and related interdisciplinary topics.
The position is expected to begin as early as August 1, 2027.

4. Four syllabi of courses. (Including one in English and three in Chinese)
5. The university teacher certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. (If available)
6. Certificate of PhD degree (Applicants who have not yet obtained their PhD diplomas by the application deadline may submit an original provisional certification issued by their universities, confirming the successful defense of their dissertations. The PhD diploma and its verification must be completed by January 15, 2027.)
7. Transcript for The PhD Program. (Required for applicants without the university teacher certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan.)
8. PhD dissertation and up to five representative publications from the last 5 years. (Applicants with associate professor level or above, do not need to submit their PhD dissertation.)
Applicants whose PhD degrees were conferred by overseas universities should have their degrees and transcripts authenticated prior to application and present the photocopy of authenticated documents along with their diplomas and transcripts.

*Hard-copy application materials must be sent to the GILR by registered mail and postmarked by November 30, 2026. Electronic application materials must also be submitted to labor@nccu.edu.tw by November 30, 2026. If the application deadline is extended, the extension will be announced separately, and the latest announcement by the GILR shall prevail.
Candidates who pass the document review will be notified separately by the GILR to give a talk and attend an interview. The talks and interviews are tentatively scheduled between January and February 2027; the actual dates will be subject to the review schedule and announced separately.
