Seeking a postdoctoral researcher for NTU (Dept. Mechanical Engineering) development of electromagnetic propulsion

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join us for development of electromagnetic propulsion using the geomagnetic field, in terms of experiment, numerical simulation, and theoretical analysis.

To enrich the capacity of an ongoing project, it is proposed to have a postdoctoral researcher joining us for investigation of relevant electromagnetic field for force generation and application to a magnetic propulsion thruster. Since the research content involves substantial and/or diverse knowledge regarding electromagnetic physics, mechanics and force measurement, mechanical design and controlling systems, material science and even condensed matter physics, as well as complexities and challenges including such interplays among them, the postdoc is required to have rich knowledge about the key subjects or at least some essential part. He/she better have skills of experimental measurement and construction, computational modeling and numerical simulation. The specific methodology adopted would be according to his/her expertise but shall fit the scope of this project.
Interested people can contact Prof. Kuo-Long Pan (panpeter@ntu.edu.tw) at Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taiwan.
