International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education (IJSME)
Founded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan, in 2003, the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education (IJSME) publishes articles on a variety of topics and research methods in science and mathematics education. This journal draws attention to studies that explore science and mathematics education from different cultural perspectives, encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates science and mathematics education, and publishes annual or biannual special issues focusing on specific topics of current interest to classroom educators. 100% of authors who answered a survey reported that they would definitely publish or probably publish in the journal again.
The International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education publishes original, peer-reviewed articles on a variety of topics and research methods that also address the common issues in both science and mathematics education. Studies that explore the use of a variety of teaching and learning strategies in different cultural and cross-curricular contexts are also published.
Over the years, the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education has steadily improved and was included in Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) in July, 2011. This journal even received its first impact factor (0.575) in 2012 in the Social Sciences Citation Index (Thomson Reuters). Currently in 2016, the impact factor makes a breakthrough, reaching up to 1.474 (Rank=70/235). In addition, IJSME has also been ranked as Q1 (top 25%) social science journal by Scimago Journal Rank.
