Soochow University MA Program in Human Rights Faculty Position Announcement
Position:
Assistant Professor (and above) for the MA Program in Human Rights at Soochow University.
Qualifications: Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in a field related to human rights studies from a domestic or international institution,
or hold a doctoral degree from a domestic or international university, with a major related to human rights studies.
The employment’s date: February 1, 2026.
Application Materials: Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
1. A personal statement, research direction, and teaching philosophy.
2. A copy of your national ID or passport.
3. A copy of the highest academic degree certificate (for foreign degrees, a notarized copy from the relevant foreign unit is required).
4. A copy of the academic transcript (please include the graduate school’s transcript; for foreign schools, verification is needed; if transcripts are unavailable, please provide course completion certificates).
5. A copy of the teaching certificate (not required if you do not have one).
6. A list of academic publications from previous years.
7. Course syllabi for two to three courses you are able to teach.
8. Doctoral dissertation and representative academic works from the past five years (works not in Chinese or English must include a Chinese summary).
9. Two letters of recommendation (must be signed and sealed by the recommenders).
