Position Description:
The Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering at National Sun Yat-sen University seeks outstanding applicants for faculty positions at all levels.
Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to the mission of the University, through outstanding activities in the areas of research, teaching, and service.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Candidates must have a Ph.D., preferably with a first degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Civil, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering, and a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching. Evidence of outstanding research achievements or research potential is indispensable.


Applicants with the following specialties are preferred:

Thermo-fluid (Priorities will be given to candidates who can teach any of the following courses:
Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermal-fluids Experiment)
Solid Mechanics
Control (Priorities will be given to candidates who can teach any of the following courses:
Electric Circuit Theory, Applied Electronics, Automatic Control, Electronics Laboratory, and Control Laboratory)
Design and Manufacturing
Micro-nano System (Preferably, but not limited to, in the areas of Semiconductor fabrication and precision metrology, Laser / Electron Beam Precision Machining, Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) Priorities will be given to candidates who can teach any of the following courses: Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Materials or Principles of Manufacturing, etc.


Required Documents:

An application letter specifying your area of specialty: Thermo-fluid, Solid Mechanics, Control, Design and Manufacturing, Micro-nano System
A detailed Curriculum Vitae
A hardcopy of official doctorate degree certificate (if already acquired)
Copies of both undergraduate and graduate transcripts
List of publications in 5 years, one representative work of SCIE, and at least one piece of referable work of SCIE
2 to 3 recommendation letters
