Postdoc opportunity in the Tzu-Ling Chen research group at department of Photonics, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University

Postdoctoral Opportunity in Dr. Tzu-Ling Chen's Research Group at the Department of Photonics, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University (Specializing in laser spectroscopy and cavity-enhanced based photonics)

We are currently inviting applications from 1-2 highly motivated postdoctoral experimentalists to collaborate with Dr. Tzu-Ling Chen on an exciting project focused on developing a cavity-enhanced aerosol MIR Spectrometer or conducting Radial Velocity Measurements using Synthesizable Astrocombs. This project is supported by a 3-year NCBR-NSTC ADD-ON GRANT.

The NCBR-NSTC RaVeMuSA project aims to innovate a novel scheme for a frequency-comb-based Fourier transform spectrograph (FTS) designed to deliver precise ground-based radial velocity (RV) measurements for astronomical observations. As we make significant strides in our research, there will be opportunities for collaborative short-term exchanges at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland.

Qualifications we require:
(1) Ph.D. in photonics, physics, chemistry, astronomy science, or a related field.
(2) Prior experience with pulsed and/or CW laser sources, optical setup, and laser spectroscopy.
(3) Responsibility

Qualifications we desire:
(1) Experience in the optical cavity or interferometers will be viewed favorably.
(2) Experience with LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, and related software.
(3) Passion for the research topics and Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team.

Interested individuals should apply by contacting Dr. Tzu-Ling via email (tlc@nycu.edu.tw).

Applicants are requested to include their curriculum vitae with the names of at least two referees, as well as a list of research publications.
