The Department of Life Sciences and Institute of Genome Sciences (DLSIGS) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University invites applications for 1-2 full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
DLSIGS is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in basic and translational biomedical sciences within the post-genome era. We are dedicated to advancing both basic and translational sciences, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration within the College of Life Sciences and across multiple university-level research centers. Our department offers multidisciplinary education across Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, focusing on the understanding and treatment of human diseases. Faculty members at NYCU enjoy a supportive environment with protected academic freedom.
1. Qualification: The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree and two years of post-doctoral research experience related to the fields of life science or biomedical science. The candidates should be able to deliver high quality lectures in English.
2. Applicants with research experience in the following fields are preferred.
● Development and Disease / Aging / Stem Cells: Research using diverse model systems to investigate tissue regeneration, differentiation, cancer, and age-related pathologies.
● Multi-omics: Integration of genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics,proteomics, or metabolomics using both dry-lab (data modeling) and wet-lab (experimental validation) approaches.
● Translational Medicine: Expertise in drug development, chemical biology, or applied biomedical sciences focused on moving basic research into clinical applications.
3. The applicant should submit a full curriculum vitae, publication list, a PDF of representative publications, three recommendation letters (directly from referees), research and teaching plans, as well as other supporting documents that may provide useful information for the recruitment committee by June 15 , 2026.
4. The faculty position begins in February 2027.
