SPIL Launches a New Plant in Erlin Park of CTSP

Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd.(SPIL), the world-class IC packaging and testing service provider, held a launch ceremony for the CTSP Erlin plant P1 in Erlin Park, on Jan 17, 2023. Tzong-Chyuan Chen, Vice Minister of NTSC, Maw-Shin Hsu, Director General of CTSP Bureau, Jason C.S.Chang, Chairman of ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd., (ASEH) and Chi-Wen Tsai, Chairman of SPIL, cut the ribbon to initiate the new SPIL Erlin Plant. SPIL had been expanding to seize the chance in the market. The initiation of CTSP Erlin plant P1 would be “a major step forward in Changhua County’s efforts to encourage semiconductor development,” said Chi-Wen Tsai, showing SPIL’s determination of rooting and investing in Taiwan.
SPIL is a subsidiary company of ASEH, the world’s No.1 packaging group, which is crucial to the development of the Taiwan semiconductor industry. Meanwhile, Executive Yuan values Erlin Park’s future development. The major traffic infrastructure of the park, Provincial Highway 76 extension construction is expected to be completed in 2026 to ease the commute for the employees who work in Erlin, and create more advantages for the park development.
