The Department of Industrial Education at National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan is seeking a full-time, tenured/tenure-track/non-tenure track (depending on qualification) faculty member in the area of Technological and Vocational Education and Training. Relevant areas include but are not limited to Career and Technical Education, Workforce Development, Artificial Intelligence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training, or related fields.
Position and Openings:
Full-Time (Tenured/Tenure-Track/Non-Tenure-Track) Assistant Professor or above (1 position).
1. Qualifications:
General Requirements:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree from a domestic or accredited international institution, or hold an Assistant Professor certificate (or above) issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan.
English Proficiency:
Applicants must demonstrate upper-intermediate English proficiency (CEFR B2 or above) with test scores or official language proof provided.
Specific Criteria:
(A) For Early-Career Applicants (Newly Graduated Doctorates):
Defined as individuals who have obtained a doctoral degree and have held no full-time faculty position at tertiary institutions within 2 years prior to the position post date (excluding compulsory military service, when applicable).
(B) For Mid-Career (and above) Applicants:
Applicants who do not meet the definition of early-career applicants must meet one or more of the following requirements within the past three years:
Published two or more journal articles indexed in SCI, SCIE, SSCI, TSSCI, EI, A&HCI, THCI, or SCOPUS database as the first or corresponding author.
Served as Principal Investigator (PI) for two or more NSTC (formerly MOST) research projects.
Obtained one or more domestic/international invention patent or international competition award per year on average.
Served as PI for one or more Academic TDP, Industry Special Project, or Industry-University Cooperative Project with verifiable performance.
Demonstrated exceptional industry performance (applicable to professional/technical specialists).
Note:
Only publications, funded projects, and patents accepted, awarded, or published within three years of this posting will be considered in the review process.
The journal articles and NSTC research projects listed above may be mutually offset.
Applicants whose highest degree was conferred by NTNU must possess 2 or more years of relevant full-time teaching or research experience at other public or private postsecondary institutions or academic research institutions.
Qualifications for newly appointed faculty members must comply with the “NTNU Regulations for Qualifications and Evaluation of Newly Recruited Full-Time Faculty”.

Photocopy of doctoral degree diploma and transcript (degrees granted outside Taiwan must be verified by ROC embassies, consulates, or overseas Taipei Economic and Cultural Office).
Proof of NSTC Research Projects (downloadable from the NSTC website).
One bound copy of doctoral dissertation.
Representative publications from the past 3 years.
Proof of other scholarly achievements (e.g., awards).
Two letters of recommendation regarding work ethic, learning attitude, interpersonal skills, and moral character.
Other supporting documents (e.g., evidence of teaching effectiveness, services).
