國立中興大學台灣與跨文化研究國際博士學位學程將於2026年10月29日至30日舉辦為期兩天的國際工作坊「Trans-ing Borders: Cultural Performance and Identity Formation in a Fractured World」，邀集來自英國和加拿大的國際學者，研究領域橫跨東亞與東南亞的文學、表演、戲劇、電影、翻譯、電視、媒體、藝術史、政治與國際關係等多種專業，聚焦於當前世界持續變動、遷徙與轉型過程中的認同轉變議題，和研究生一同進行討論和交流。本次工作坊中每一位研究生發表人都可以在工作坊當中獲得國際學者的專業回饋，這是與國際頂尖學者面對面交流、獲取寶貴建議的難得機會，邀請各校人文社科研究生踴躍投稿！
工作坊核心主題
1.探討各種「跨（trans-）」形式（跨國、跨區域、轉型、翻譯、超越、過渡）如何與亞洲的展演形式相互交織。
2.廣泛涵蓋各種展演形式（戲劇、電影、媒體、文學、翻譯、視覺藝術、音樂、行為藝術、電視），視其為認同被想像、抵抗與轉化，進而突破僵化國族框架的關鍵場域。
3.聚焦於冷戰遺緒的延續與復甦如何形塑香港、台灣、新加坡、中國大陸及廣大華人離散群體的文化與政治生活。
4.探討藝術家與文化實踐者如何運用展演挑戰西方霸權、生命政治、（新）自由主義、威權主義、極端民族主義、歷史失憶，以及國家對忠誠的要求，尤其是在世界秩序重塑、地區關係緊張、監控與數位同溫層效應的影響之下。
徵稿資訊
(1)發表語言：中文或英文皆可，會議預設為雙語聽眾，發表者可選擇自己最習慣的語言進行發表（例如：簡報使用一種語言，口頭發表使用另一種語言）
(2)摘要語言：歡迎中、英文摘要投稿，中文摘要400漢字內、英文摘要250字內。
(3)徵件截止日期：即日起至 9 月 14 日
(4)錄取通知：若於 9 月 21 日前未收到回覆，請視為未獲錄取。如獲錄取，請於10月17日前繳交全文（中文5000字內，英文請以Times New Roman字體以12級字、雙倍行距、25頁以內為限），並準備以 20 分鐘為限的報告內容，將於 10 月 29 日當日進行發表，並由本次受邀參加會議之國際學者回應與評論。
(5)交通補助：錄取者至國立中興大學之交通費用由主辦單位負擔，採實報實銷。

Dear graduate students,
The International PhD Program in Taiwan and Transcultural Studies at National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, is hosting a two-day workshop Oct 29–30, 2026. The conference abstract is attached herein.
We have invited 6 scholars from the United Kingdom and Canada, all working on topics in East and Southeast Asia across literature, performance, theatre, film, translation, television, media, art history, politics, and international relations.
The first day of the workshop is designed for emerging scholars to engage with these international experts in your respective fields.
We are inviting your participation to present your ongoing research in the workshop. All presenters will have the opportunity to get feedback on your work from our invited speakers.

(1) Your paper title and abstract (no more than 250 words) and a brief biography (no more than 100 words) by Sep 14.
(2) If your abstract is accepted for presentation, we will invite you to prepare your full paper for submission. We hope to receive full papers by Oct 17, so as to give your commentator adequate time to review your paper. Please keep your paper to no more than 25 pages, double-spaced.
(3) If you do not hear from us by Sep 21, please assume that your abstract has not been selected for presentation in this workshop.
(4) For emerging scholars whose papers are selected for presentation, please make your own way to Taichung on Oct 29. We are sorry that we are unable to provide any funding for this workshop.
